About Me

Hey friend, I’m Shamika

I am a wife, mom, and the heart behind The Fun Learning Zone. If we were sitting together right now, I’d probably be telling you how much I love helping moms like you feel confident about teaching your little ones at home.I’ve been in the classroom for years, both public and private, but what really lights me up is coaching and encouraging homeschool families.

Since 2017, I’ve been mentoring parents, creating resources, and walking alongside moms who just want the best for their kids.Early childhood education is my sweet spot. I’ve taught one-year-olds their letters, numbers, shapes, and colors (yes, really!) and I’ve done it with my own kids too.

I believe learning can start early and it can be fun — not stressful.That’s why I built The Fun Learning Zone: to give you the tools, the encouragement, and the support you need to homeschool with confidence. Think of me as your cheerleader and your friend on this journey. I’m here to help, to share what I’ve learned, and to remind you that you’ve got this.

Family Game Night for Homeschool Families

An evening designed for homeschool families to gather, relax, and have fun! A variety of games will be provided — from board games to group challenges — so families can laugh, compete, and bond. This is about connection and creating memories together in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Craft Day for Homeschoolers

A creative, hands-on event where kids get to explore their artistic side! Themed crafts, supplies, and plenty of space will be provided for children to create, learn, and socialize. This day is about sparking imagination and building connections.
