About Me

Hey friend, I’m Shamika

I am a wife, mom, and the heart behind The Fun Learning Zone. If we were sitting together right now, I’d probably be telling you how much I love helping moms like you feel confident about teaching your little ones at home.I’ve been in the classroom for years, both public and private, but what really lights me up is coaching and encouraging homeschool families.

Since 2017, I’ve been mentoring parents, creating resources, and walking alongside moms who just want the best for their kids.Early childhood education is my sweet spot. I’ve taught one-year-olds their letters, numbers, shapes, and colors (yes, really!) and I’ve done it with my own kids too.

I believe learning can start early and it can be fun — not stressful.That’s why I built The Fun Learning Zone: to give you the tools, the encouragement, and the support you need to homeschool with confidence. Think of me as your cheerleader and your friend on this journey. I’m here to help, to share what I’ve learned, and to remind you that you’ve got this.

Academic Assessments are frequently performed to ensure high quality learning for your child. They will be used to gather and provide critical information about your child's development and growth. With this information, we are able to provide you with appropriate curriculum and effective individualized instruction for your child.

Personalized lesson plans are available to meet the needs of your child. We focus on giving you all the tools necessary in order to effectively teach your child with confidence. It is important to us that you feel equipped and empowered as your child’s educator to prepare them for success.

Knowing your child‘s learning style is the key to his academic success. We will help you discover what learning style best defines your child. Most children have a natural way of learning, and once you discover their learning personality, you will instantly gain momentum in effectively preparing your child for success.
